Axia Journal of Clinical Images (AJCI)

Open science is essential to solving the world’s urgent challenges

About

Supporting researchers to open up every output from their research, including publications and preprints, data, code, protocols, methods, and peer review.

By enabling researchers to share their research openly, together we can increase its use and re-use, speed up scientific advances, deliver efficiencies for research, foster collaboration between disciplines, enable easier translation into economic and societal impact, and improve trust in science. That’s why we support open science across all academic disciplines. By enabling open science practices, and collaborating with partners across the scholarly ecosystem, faster and more effective research systems can be created that operate sustainably and at scale and build an equitable research landscape.

Aims and Scope – Axia Journal of Clinical Images (AJCI)

The Axia Journal of Clinical Images (AJCI) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality clinical images that provide unique insights into medical conditions, diagnostic techniques, and treatment approaches. Our mission is to serve as a valuable resource for clinicians, researchers, and medical educators by sharing visually compelling cases that enhance medical knowledge and patient care.

Scope:

  • Radiology and Imaging – X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine images of rare or diagnostically significant conditions.
  • Dermatology and Skin Conditions – High-resolution images of dermatological disorders, cutaneous infections, and rare skin conditions.
  • Cardiology and Vascular Imaging – Angiography, echocardiography, and other cardiovascular imaging techniques.
  • Neurology and Neurosurgery – Brain and spinal cord imaging, neurovascular disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases.
  • Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary Imaging – Endoscopic images, liver disease imaging, and gastrointestinal abnormalities.
  • Pulmonology and Thoracic Imaging – Chest radiographs, lung pathology, and respiratory imaging.
  • Oncology and Tumor Imaging – Clinical photographs, histopathology slides, and imaging studies of cancers and tumors.
  • Musculoskeletal System – Fractures, joint disorders, soft tissue injuries, and orthopedic imaging.
  • Obstetrics and Gynecology – Ultrasound images, fetal abnormalities, and gynecological imaging findings.
  • Ophthalmology – Retinal imaging, corneal abnormalities, and eye diseases captured through advanced imaging.
  • Emergency and Trauma Medicine – Clinical photographs and imaging findings of acute trauma, burns, and critical injuries.
  • Rare and Unusual Cases – Images depicting uncommon diseases, unique presentations, and unexpected diagnostic findings.

AJCI serves clinicians, radiologists, pathologists, dermatologists, medical educators, researchers, and students who benefit from visual learning in medical and healthcare fields.

The journal follows a rigorous peer-review process, ensures international visibility through indexing in major scientific databases, and promotes rapid publication to disseminate high-quality clinical images and visual case studies.
