Axia Scientific Publishers recognizes the vital role of peer review in validating research in science, health, and medicine before publication. This process ensures that submitted manuscripts align with the journal’s scope, adhere to ethical standards, and contribute reliable and valuable research to the academic community.
Axia follows a double-blind peer review process, where the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential. This ensures an unbiased evaluation, free from influence based on the author’s reputation, experience, or institutional affiliation. Reviewers provide objective, constructive feedback, ensuring the integrity of the review process.
To facilitate a smooth review process, authors are encouraged to submit:
- A title page containing the names and details of the corresponding author(s) and co-authors.
- A manuscript without author identification to maintain anonymity.
While submitting both documents is recommended, it is not mandatory.
Review Process
- Initial Screening – The editorial team assesses submitted manuscripts for suitability, originality, and adherence to guidelines. Editors ensure that both author and reviewer identities remain anonymous.
- Peer Review – If the manuscript meets the journal’s criteria, it is sent to at least two independent reviewers selected by the Editor.
- Editorial Decision – The Editor evaluates the reviewers’ feedback and makes the final publication decision. Throughout this process, the article’s content and existence remain confidential.
- Timeline – The peer review process typically takes 2–3 weeks, though this may vary depending on reviewer availability, editorial workload, and author responsiveness to revision requests.
Decision Categories
After the review, the Editor-in-Chief or Editor communicates the decision to the author(s) along with reviewer reports, if applicable. Decisions fall into the following categories:
- Acceptance without modifications – The manuscript is accepted as is.
- Provisional acceptance with minor revisions – Authors must make minor corrections before publication.
- Possible acceptance with major revisions – Authors must make significant revisions and resubmit for further evaluation.
- Rejection – The manuscript does not meet the journal’s criteria for publication.
If revisions are required, authors must submit a revised manuscript addressing the reviewers' concerns. The Editor reviews resubmissions and may request further revisions before final acceptance.
Final Acceptance and Publication
Upon acceptance, authors receive a formal acceptance letter and must submit any final materials required for publication.
To ensure immediate Open Access, authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC). This fee allows unrestricted access to the published article and grants authors permission to share the final PDF.
